Pair of 1950s Signed Mastroianni Abstracts, Pen on Paper

Umberto Mastroianni (1910 to 1998) is considered one of the most important Italian artists of the twentieth century. He is internationally renowned for his enormous metal sculptures many of which are in public places in Italian cities and are also on display at the Fondazione Umberto Mastroianni in Frosinone. He also painted abstracts in watercolour, oil and pen. These two striking abstracts are pen on paper in orange, green and black. It seems that they were a gift to a friend of his, on the bottom of the pictures, it is written 'A (to) Luca Scoccione'. Both pictures are signed by Mastroianni. They are in their original mount and frame which are in good condition. I believe they would nevertheless benefit from new frames.
Dimensions of each: H29cm x W36cm (including mount and frame)
