1930s Venini Balloton Jug and Glasses Set

Found in Parma, 1930s Venini Balloton Jug and Glasses SetParma

Exceptionally fine hand-blown glasses and jug set made in the 1930s by Venini. The ballaton effect is typical of his work and has been replicated in many modern Venini pieces. This set has a wonderful turquoise piped rim finishing off the quilt like transparent glass. There are six glasses and one jug. The jug shape replicates the style of the glasses and thus has no handle. All pieces have a mark on the base where the blow pipe was cut from the molten glass. A rare example of Italian antique glassware and perfect for collectors of Venini's original work. We are really lucky to have found this set. Found at auction in Parma.
