1950s Hand Painted Ceramic Water Jug

1950s Hand painted blue and white ceramic water jug. Though over 70 years old, this jug has a beautiful fresh and contemporary design. Signed on the base, Ceramica Fabrinese. The ceramics factory was based in Fabriano in The Marche, a Unesco heritage town known for its artisanal work. The factory closed in the 1950s so there are no more of these jugs available today. It has an inset container for ice to cool the water or lemonade inside the jug. Excellent condition.
