Found in Bologna, 1954 Flavio Poli Seguso Vetri d'Arte Olive Green Sommerso VaseBologna

Exceptionally beautiful and rare olive coloured Flavio Poli Vase.  This hand-blown vase was made at the furnace Seguso Vetri d'Arte in 1954 and has an exceptional shape as well as a beautiful triple sommerso effect - olive green glass submerged in layers of brown and amber glass. An incredibly sophisticated and elegant piece in very good condition considering its age.

Poli (1900-1984) joined Seguso Vetri d’Arte as Creative Director in 1934. He is known for his 'sommerso' Submerged glass technique. This is a thrilling example of his 1950s work.
