Antonio da Ros for Cenedese 1960s Vase

Exceptional Antonio da Ros for Cenedese 1960s Vase bought at an auction in Turin where a private glass collector's pieces went on sale. The vase is large, measuring 36cm high and very heavy, weighing 5,5Kg. It was made using the sommerso technique where the dark turquoise layer was submerged into the soft pink glass base. There is a spectacular large carefully formed air bubble in the base, one of da Ros's signatures. The piece still has remnants of the Cenedese sticker on it. Antonio da Ros was the celebrated designer at Cenedese, one of the most important glass blowing furnaces in Murano, Venice in the 1960s. Not only a wonderful investment piece, this is a work of unparalleled beauty.
Dimensions: H36cm X W16cm X D11cm
