1950s Hand-embroidered Tablecloth with 6 Napkins
1950s Italian hand-embroidered off-white tablecloth in fine linen-cotton blend, decorated with elegant 'ricamo a intaglio' embroidery using a beige silk thread. This wonderful technique, which is almost a lost art form, involves decorative cut out areas with hand stitched detailing. It is often seen in Italian domestic textile work from this period. This beautiful large rectangular tablecloth comes with six napkins.
