Designed in the 1960s by Flavio Poli in Murano, Venice, this large bowl was made using the sommerso (submerged) technique. Literally submerge layers of molten glass, one within another. This bowl is made of particularly thick glass and is in excellent condition. While sommerso bowls can of course be found, this is a very special piece on account of its extraordinary colours, excellent condition and large dimensions.
