Pair of 17th Century Travertine Mantles

Sale price€2.000,00

A pair of 300 year old travertine mantles salvaged from a 17th century church in Le Marche. The stone is absolutely beautiful and the pieces have aged allowing for us still to see the intricate carvings that once were. These mantles were likely used above a grand door frame or fireplace.

Today they can be used in a decorative fashion. Here in Italy, we use these historic pieces of stone to decorate and add character to our gardens. We also use them to decorate our houses, often setting them into a plaster wall to add a historic point of interest to a room. Equally they can be used as mantles or legs for an outdoor fireplace or table.

 Mantle 1: H38cm X W62cm X D8cm

Mantle 2: H30cm X W59cm X D8cm
