Set of 3 1950s Silver Tureens designed by Gio Ponti for Sambonet, Italy
Three Silver metal bowls or tureens designed by Gio Ponti for the silverware house Sambonet in the 1950s. The tureens were originally used in a Hotel whose name is stamped on the base together with the manufacturer, Sambonet, Italy. There are two larger tureens with lids and one medium sized. As well as being extremely useful, these marvelous tureens are much sought after design icons.
